I have a fetish for antique and modern fusions. That is precisely what I was looking for when I started looking for furniture for my bedroom in the apartment in which I just moved. I wanted something that gave an aura of the past without weighing down my modern lifestyle. Stumbling on this piece was perhaps the best I did during my furniture hunt. I wanted an antique bed for my bedroom, but not the type that comes gilded in heavy gold or weighed down with heavy upholstery and drapes. I wanted more structure and less drama. Of course, once I got this piece, it created a drama of its own, but the subtle kind that I really enjoy. This bedroom set also proved to be quite pocket-friendly. I bought the Queen Size bed (79”L x 63”W) for only $816. The 75″L x 55″W bed comes in for $714 and the King size bed (79″L x 72″W) for $918. I only had to pay $100 more for shipping, but free shipping and assembling is available in many states like New Jersey, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, etc among the others.
This design is unique. It is minimalistic and yet does not look barren because of the rich brass finish and the elegant curves in the headboard and footboard design. My walls are painted a light apple green color and this furniture set really brings out the richness of the room. The bedside tables add convenience and practicality to the design managing to maintain an air of elegance and poise. Not to forget, they make a wonderful place to put some matching lamps with metal scroll designs. This is also a great design for homes in hotter areas because the design is very airy and gives an air of coolness and neatness.
